Fantastic original 1956 Gibson Les Paul Jr. Honduras mahogany, Brazilian rosewood, P90 pickup measures 8.32k. The guitar weighs in at a bit over 8 lbs and is a true tone monster. The guitar has had the headstock repaired above the nut due to a crack (not a break) that did not go all the way through, no creasing on the faceplate. . This repair was more than likely done in the 50s or early 60s as all the finish checking on either side of the repair lines up perfectly a clear indication that the checking came long after the repair. The the guitar is as stable as a rock and has a low action 1/16th at the 17th fret with the capability of going lower. Original frets are in great shape. If you look at in the light it appears to have been signed by some one to the rear of the bridge but that is long gone. Minor nicks and dings but nothing major and a small bit of buckle rash on the back. Rosewood board is in fantastic condition as well. Tuners function as they should with no slippage. It sounds and plays amazingly fantastic. The guitar will come with a newer case as the original chipboard case is not in great shape. This guitar is priced conservatively with reference to condition however it will not disappoint!
